Same printed code. New menu.

One code on every table

  1. Put your menu online.

A page on your website, a PDF in a shared folder or a shared document: anything with an address. Nimbli links to your menu; it doesn't store the file.

  2. Print one code.

Make a short link to your menu's address and print its QR code once.

  3. Change where it goes.

When the autumn menu starts, point the same code at it. Do the same for lunch, a holiday or a dish that has sold out. Nothing is reprinted.

Make a second link for the drinks list or the kids' menu if you want to see which one people open. Each link has its own click counts, which are estimates.

Printing it

Print it at least 2.5 cm (1 inch) wide; 4 cm or more for posters read from a distance.

Print shops take the SVG, which stays sharp at any size. Word, Docs and Slides take the PNG. Test a printed copy with your phone before you print a lot. The QR code maker lets you choose colors and add a logo.

Before you print with any service

Some QR code services give you a free trial and switch your dynamic codes off when it ends. If a menu code sits on every table, you would find out in front of your customers. Before you print, ask: does the code keep working if I stop paying, and what does it cost to keep it?

On Nimbli there is no trial that ends, and we won't switch off a link because it's on the free plan (Our promise). See how other services compare.

A menu that never changes can use a static code, which many makers give for free, including Nimbli's QR code maker. It can't be changed after it's printed.
