Nimbli Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated October 11, 2026.
Nimbli links reach people who trust them: on menus, posters, flyers and in messages. This policy keeps them trustworthy. It is part of our Terms of Service.
Don't use Nimbli to
- Phishing or fraud. Trick people into giving passwords, card or bank details, or other personal information. Impersonate a person, brand, bank, government body or delivery company.
- Malware. Spread viruses, spyware, ransomware, unwanted software or anything that harms devices.
- Scams. Run fake prizes, fake shops, investment or crypto schemes, or similar deceptions.
- Spam. Promote links through unsolicited bulk messages, comment spam or similar.
- Hide where a link goes. Point a Nimbli link at another link shortener or redirect chain to disguise the final destination, or swap a link's destination to avoid our checks.
- Illegal content. Link to content that is illegal where you or your visitors are. This includes any content that sexually exploits children, which we report to the authorities.
- Harm people. Link to content that harasses, threatens or incites violence, or that shares someone's private information or intimate images without consent.
- Infringe rights. Link to content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights.
- Get around our limits or safeguards. Use several accounts or teams to exceed limits, automate the creation of links beyond the published rate limits, or interfere with Nimbli or other people's use of it.
- Track people without consent. Use Nimbli as part of covert surveillance of individuals.
What we do
When we find or are told about a link that breaks this policy, we may:
- show visitors a warning;
- disable the link;
- delete the link;
- block a destination for everyone;
- block the account or team.
We email the team when one of its links is flagged or disabled. Urgent cases, such as active phishing or malware, are handled at once.
Abuse reports and review requests are first checked by an automated system that uses an AI model. It may add a warning, keep one or pass the question to a person; it removes a warning only when Google's list no longer includes the address. Removing any other warning, disabling links and blocking accounts are decided by a person.
Reporting and appeals
- Report a link: the report form or [email protected].
- Check a link before opening it: add
+to the end of any ni.run link. - Think we got it wrong? Use "Ask for a review" on the link's page or the report form. We aim to answer within one working day.
